Diane
Peters Mayer, M.S.W., is a psychotherapist and performance
anxiety coach in private practice in Doylestown, PA for
over 15 years. She has a BA in psychology and graduated
from the University of Pennsylvania with a master’s
degree in clinical social work.
Having suffered from performance anxiety herself for many
years in a variety of arenas, including tennis courts, horse
shows, and public speaking venues, Diane created a performance
anxiety program to help herself and her clients. In 2000
Diane adapted her program for competitive dog handlers stymied
by ring nerves, and in early 2005, began working with equestrians.
The Conquering Ring Nerves Program contains exercises and
techniques adapted from a number of disciplines including:
psychology, yoga/meditation, breath work, theater arts, and
sports psychology. Through her seminars, book, audio tape,
and newsletter Diane has taught thousands of competitors
how to channel their nervous energy into blue ribbon performances.
Diane’s philosophy is that everyone is capable of
stopping or easing their anxiety through self-awareness and
determination, enabling them to realize their goals and reach
for their dreams. It takes courage to face your fears and---Practice!
Practice! Practice!
You can become the competitor of your dreams.
Your dog
and horse will thank you!
A native of Brooklyn, NY, Diane who has two grown daughters,

started the whole thing.
