PeakSpeak
Dear Reader,
On December 4th I presented at NOMAD agility club
in Burlington, VT. The group was awesome to work with,
and by the end of the day, handlers could see and feel
how relaxed, focused, and connected to their dogs they
can be in competition. Thanks NOMAD!
December's issue is shortened, and will only include
a training tip on setting goals.
I wish you and your loved ones Happy Holidays, and
joy and peace in the New Year.
See you in 2005!
Enjoy.

Training Tip Of The Month
As 2004 nears to a close, you might want to take some
time to think about setting new training goals for
the New Year. Also look back on what you and your dog
have accomplished in 2004. Be sure to celebrate each
small step you took to succeed in your sport (s).
Looking back on 2004, looking ahead to 2005
-
What did you set out to achieve this year?
-
What goals did you attain?
-
What did not work out?
-
What needs work?
-
How do you feel about what happened in 2004?
Please don't judge or negatively rate what happened
or what didn't happen, what you did, or did not do.
Just examine each experience as part of the learning
process, as steps toward reaching your goals.
Now look ahead to the new year, 2005:
-
Envision and define the goals you wish to achieve.
-
Rate them in order of importance and difficulty.
-
Write down what you can reasonably accomplish
in: one month; three months; six months; one year.
-
How are you going to fulfill your objectives?
-
What are the barriers to doing so?
-
When you read over what you have written, how
do you feel about it?
So, think about what you want for yourself and your
dog. Write it all down. Plan how to go about getting
it. Prepare to start really living your dreams.
2005 is going to be a great year!!
You can become the handler of your dreams. Your dog
will thank you!
